dog breed

I’m an experienced dog-trainer and I’m planning on getting a new dog first. Which breed should I get?

A pitbull
-or-
A doberman
I’m asking this question because I’m only able to get dog and I love both these breeds so much, I can’t make up my mind which! I was hoping you guys could help… but obviously you’ve missed that point!

If you’re an “experienced trainer”, why are you asking us what breed YOU should get?

Well, if you’re experienced, then put your experience to good use and choose for yourself!

Both great dogs.. Have you done your research to see which one fits best to your life style? Shouldn’t you know this if you really are experienced…

A doberman there better tempered and easier to train

I would go for the doberman out choices you have.

I agree with dmg1969, if you’re an experienced dog owner you wouldn’t need to ask this question. Also an experienced trainer would have provided enough information for us to make an appropriate decision. Such as why do you want a dog? Do you have children? How much room do you have for the dog? Do you have a yard or are you in an apartment? As a dog trainer why are you choosing breeds subject to future BSL legislation? Your claim of being an “experienced dog trainer” sounds shakey to those who really have experience.

neither. if you must, get dobie. pitbulls are overrated and hard to handle. so much energy, constantly fighting for alpha dog status, borne to fight they don’t respond as quickly to average discipline. they can be quite loving and sweet but still, i really don’t understand the appeal at all. people stop breeding pitbulls! they are not meant for urban living and most people do not have the patience to give them what they need! these animals suffer needlessly because of it.

I disagree with all the people above. Just because you are experienced, that doesn’t mean it makes it easier for you to make up your mind on which breed to get!

I’d say a dobie, since they are just as sleek and handsome, easy to train and very bright!
